For mobile ordering, we accept payments via PayMe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, AlipayHK and credit cards.
Payments cannot be made at a restaurant’s POS machine after an order is made via the mobile app.
You can use Octopus at counter or self-ordering kiosk at McDonald’s restaurants. For customers who place order through the McDonald’s App, they can use the “Octopus Mastercard” for payment.
If this happens, please seek assistance from our restaurant staff.
If there is an issue with payment, please try another payment method. If your payment goes through but your order gets cancelled, we’ll refund you automatically within 7 days. For any other problems, please reach out to us via the “Contact Us” page. We’re happy to help!
There may be several reasons for the issue, including:
.The card used is a prepaid card or stored-value card, but the current balance is insufficient to complete the transaction.
.The issuing bank, institution, or card processing entity has declined the transaction (due to reasons such as card expiration, invalidation, or other risk management concerns).
.The card requires “OTP (One-Time Password)” or “3DS (3D Secure authentication)” for any online transactions. Please follow the instructions to authenticate and make the payment.
Please ensure that the mobile application of the issuing bank is updated to the latest version. If you encounter any issues during the process, please contact the issuing bank.
You can choose to save your credit card with us for future use. To add or remove a credit card, click on “My Account” and select “Payment options”.
After clicking “Pay Now”, your payment will be made immediately using your selected payment method and you’ll receive an email notification confirming your payment. If you don’t see our email, please check your spam or junk folder just in case.
