How do I download/update the McDonald’s App?

You can download or update the McDonald’s App on Google Play or App Store. You can also download the McDonald’s App by scanning the QR code at https://campaign.mcdonalds.com.hk/ch/promotions/GMA-2021/.

How do I sign up to be a new member?

Due to system update, new member registration for McDonald’s App is temporarily suspended until further notice.

Do new users have to register for an account before placing an order?

New users must register before placing an order. Once you have registered as a McDonald’s App member, you will be treated to all sorts of exclusive offers and be among the first to receive the latest McDonald’s updates!

Can I join the McDonald’s App if I am not currently residing in Hong Kong?

Yes, you can register as a member as long as you have a Hong Kong mobile number and email. Please note that each email address can only be registered for one McDonald’s App account.

Note: Do not disclose any personal or transaction information through any means other than the above channels. The personal data you provide will only be used by McDonald’s or other companies that provide technical services, fulfill responsibilities, or provide other services for McDonald’s. The personal data collected will not be sold or transferred to third parties.

What can I do if I cannot login to my account?

Please re-open the McDonald’s App and try placing the order again. If the problem persists, you may also try reinstalling the McDonald’s App.

What can I do if I forget my email/ password associated with the account?

On the “Log In” page, select “Forgot Password?”.
Follow the instructions by entering and confirming the email associated with your account.
You will receive an official email containing a temporary password, which you can use to log in and reset your password.

How do I make updates to my account details?

Go to “My Account” to update your account information. Please note that you will not be able to change your month of birth and email once they are submitted.

How do I change my month of birthday in the McDonald's App?

Once your month of birth has been submitted, you cannot make any further changes.

How do I manage my email and push notifications?

Go to “Account”and switch “Notification Settings” to On or Off to manage your preferences for email and push notifications.

Why can't I register an account with my email address?

Please check if your email has been registered with the McDonald’s App before. As each email address can only be registered for one McDonald’s App account, we’d suggest using another valid email address if registration is not successful.

What do I do if I don’t receive my account activation code?

Please check your inbox again in a little while. If you still have not received the activation code, please also check your “”Junk Mail”” folder.

If the issue persists after 24 hours, please contact us through Little McHelper on our webiste (https://mcdonalds.com.hk/). Your account information is appreciated, our Customer Relations team will follow up and get back to you during office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (excluding public holidays).

Can I share my account with friends or family?

We do not encourage account sharing among friends because all shared users can modify the account information, such as changing the password. The McDonald’s App is available for free, so we recommend each user to register their own account.

Can I delete my account?

If you want to delete your account, please go to “Account”” and select “Manage Account” to delete your account permanently.

Note: Once you have deleted your account, all information such as offers and transaction records will be deleted and will not be retrievable.
